Theme: Space and Place in the Humanities (20 ECTS)

The Doctoral School in the Humanities at Stockholm University offers a new theme of 20 ECTS consisting of four courses with the beginning in the autumn term 2019: Space and Place in the Humanities, in which the Centre for Medieval Studies is closely involved in.

The theme is given within the Doctoral School in the Humanities by the Department of History, in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology and Classical Studies, the Department of Culture and Aesthetics, the Department of Ethnology, History of Religions and Gender Studies, the Department of Swedish Language and Multilingualism, and the Department of Asian, Middle Eastern, and Turkish Studies. The first course starts in autumn 2019.

Course 1: The Spatial Turn in the Humanities: Theories and Applications, 5 ECTS credits, Autumn 2019.

Course 2: Space, Memory and the Past, 5 credits, Spring 2020.

Course 3: Spaces and Identities, 5 credits, Autumn 2020.

Course 4: Workshop: Space and Place in the Humanities, 5 credits, Spring 2021.
